Well, what can I say about myself? This is the page most people use to brag about their self, and as hard as this may be to believe, I used to do the very same thing. I used to, that is, before I got old and fat. Now I just sit around the house and tell it like it is because I'm to lazy and don't care enough to lie about this sort of thing.

O.K. So, I'm not quite as old as I let on. I am actually only 30 years old, but that also means I'm not as young as I used to be either. A fact that does not go unnoticed when I take my four-year-old son to the park or playground. You are more likely to catch me playing Tony Hawk Underground 2 than ACTUALLY skating.

I am a big ancient history buff. Well, maybe not THAT big. I mean, I don't have a degree in the subject or anything. But I do read a lot when I get the chance. I don't get to read as much as I used to, but I still pick up a book on the subject now and again.

I should probably tell you that my biggest love besides my family is computers. I am a Linux flunky, but I still use XP Pro (but really only for gaming - what little I have time for...). I made the mistake of dropping out of high-school and getting a GED. For anyone who's considering dropping out, I have some advice - don't! You are just gonna spend the next ten years in hell before you admit that mistake to yourself and go to collage. IF you admit that mistake to yourself. Anyway I mention this here because I am hoping to go to school sometime in the next year or two. I would go now if I could, but I must get some financial stuff squared away first.

Games! Games! Games! Let's talk about GAMES! Everybody with a computer is a gamer these days. "Gamer" is the latest buzz word for hip technical collages to exploit and get kids to pay way to much money to "learn how to make video games". We have a plethora of these commercials here in Kentucky and wherever you may be out there I'm sure you have a bunch of them too. I think it's great if you want to go to collage, and if you really, really want to "make video games" by all means go for it. I just feel that a lot of people here in my neck of the woods have unrealistic expectations when going to a technical collage for an associates degree in something like "graphic design" "video games" or those courses that are supposed to prepare you for the exciting world of "3-D graphic design/modeling". Most of the people/kids here going into these things don't realize that there aren't a lot of jobs in Kentucky for that sort of thing, and if they seriously want to make it there career, they are more than likely going to have to make a big move West. I think in many ways this is just like the phase young people went through about ten years ago when everyone with a computer wanted to think of him/herself as a "Hacker" or, if you're feeling nostalgic "Hax0r". that's right kids - +YpIN9 Th1Ng5 LIkE THi$ 15 NOthIn9 n3W. O.K. I guess I should yak a little about the games I like to play. Lately I've been engrossed in Tony Hawk: Underground 2, as preveiously mentioned. I have also been rackin' up some frags in Quake 4 and Unreal Anthology. I actually own quite a few games, I just rarely get to play them anymore. Let's see, I have Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and The Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones. Oh, hell, it would take a while to list all the titles. i have a fairly large stack of games amassed in a pile on the side that's collecting dust. Oh well. One day. I feel like that guy in that classic episode of "The Twilight Zone" who finally got all the time he wanted to devote to reading, and then breaks his glasses. Yup, story of my life.

Blogging is all the craze these days. Everybody "blogs" and I'm no exception. However, like most everything else in my life, I find I never seem to have much time to devote to my humble little online journal. So, if anyone's interested, you can check it out here. I have a handfull of entries mostly dealing with games, but in the future you may well find some DVD reviews and a couple of rants about things that piss me off. Like the other day when someone broke into my car and stole my CD wallet.

O.K. So, most of you know where to go to get information on games, blogging, or any other crap I may have mentioned that you want more info about. Obviously at this point everyone knows to just hit google, but if you want some specific links I'll try to get them up ASAP on another page. Till then, take a look around, check things out and enjoy!
